The Tailors of Tomaszow: A Memoir of Polish Jews with Allan Chernoff
Chernoff, the son of one of the child survivors of Auschwitz and CNN’s Senior
Correspondent for eleven years, shares his mother’s story. She was among the youngest
survivors of the Holocaust and survived the Nazi destruction of Jewish Tomaszow,
imprisonment in the slave labor camp Blizyn, and the terrors behind the barbed wire of
Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Alive and Beating with Rebecca Wolf
Inspired by a true story, Rebecca Wolf visits to discuss her debut novel, “Alive and Beating,”

The novel focuses on Marilyn Weisfeld, devoted wife and mother who realizes after

The New York Philharmonic
Frank Huang Performs Mendelssohn
From Mendelssohn’s unforgettable melodies to the
lush romanticism of Korngold and Strauss, this program
offers a captivating journey through some of the
most expressive and enchanting music in the classical
repertoire. The concert features acclaimed violinist and
New York Philharmonic Concertmaster, Frank Huang.

Lincoln Center neighborhood after the 11 am concert.

The legendary musical masterpiece Evita returns to

The Morgan Library and Museum
Experience a guided highlights tour showcasing the
grandeur of the 120-year-old historic landmark. The
tour explains the Morgan’s history, architecture,

Purple Rain on Broadway
We go back to Minneapolis in 1984, when a young
performer known as “The Kid” is breaking out into the
music scene. His journey towards becoming “Prince”

The Gallery Above at the J
Discover the Gallery Above at the J, a rotating art exhibition space on the second floor of the JCC
featuring local artists. Every 8 - 12 weeks, the gallery features a new exhibition, bringing fresh
perspectives, stories and creativity.
In alignment with the Lewis JCC’s mission, exhibitions are open to Jewish artists or artists presenting
Jewish-themed artwork. We invite artists of all disciplines—painting, photography, mixed media,
textile, and more—to submit their work.
Glued Together
Use your hands and free your mind while transforming
a variety of materials and odds and ends into new
creations. No experience needed. Led by Susan Hirsch.

Painting with Watercolors
Local artist Jayne Conte breaks down the basic
techniques of watercolors in a relaxing environment
with plenty of hands-on instruction. Jayne combines
years of experience and a passion for art in her class,
and helps even the most novice painter create true
works of art. A list of all required materials will be
provided at registration for students to purchase on
their own.

Herb Rogoff: His multi-faceted career encompassed illustration, comics,
painting and video. Rogoff’s illustrations appeared in Rolling Stone, Time and
Vanity Fair. Herb is the late father of Todd Rogoff, Campus Support at our JCC.

Forever Young Live at JFest

with Forever Young, the popular oldies and doo-
wop band, that will have you singing and dancing all
